Customers at a convenience store in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, watched on as a large monitor lizard scaled the shelves like something out of a monster movie.

“They’re dangerous animals, especially when they’re angry,” she said, according to media news. “I stayed back and recorded it on my phone. I guess that shops have everything, even for lizards.”

It’s obviously daunting as to why the large monitor lizard would wandered into the 7-Eleven looking for food due to recent months of dry weather with little rain.

Monitor lizards tend to live in canals and ponds in durable humid climates. It's said to be the second-largest lizard in the world, it can live for up to 22 years which can reach lengths up to almost six feet long depending on the sex of the reptile.

After all the hard work it took shopping, miraculously the giant lizard didn't actually buy any food while in the store, wildlife experts report that Monitor lizards will eat just about anything — insects, spiders, crabs, fish, amphibians, and rodents, whether dead or alive.
